We are seeking a highly motivated and technically strong Field Service Technician to support the commissioning, service, and lifecycle performance of advanced power electronics systems. In this customer-facing role, you will lead on-site activities, provide expert technical guidance, and ensure safe, reliable, and high-quality delivery across complex electrical installations. This position requires extensive travel (90%+) within the home country and internationally, offering exposure to diverse projects, customers, and technologies across industrial, energy, and marine environments. Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities- Pre-commission, commission, and service static frequency converters (SFC) and variable frequency (VFD) low voltage and medium voltage drives/switchgear/transformers and power systems.- Provide technical assistance and supervision to customers on the installations.- Conduct on-site interpretation of data and technical instruction.- Provide management with complete and prompt information and report regarding safety & project/service status, customer or equipment problems, and failures,- Provide technical assistance through on-site guidance and training in proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of assigned programs and ground support equipment.- Provide and assist quality team with root cause analysis and generate reports in case of equipment malfunction or failures to identify/analyse any undesirable trends.- Complete site documentations such as weekly safety update, installations check lists, pre-commissioning, and commissioning procedures.- Hands-on on-site parts replacement, testing, and verification of electrical equipment.- Adhere with company Health and Safety policies and work in safe and best practice manner to ensure the wellbeing of personnel and equipment are not compromised.- Able to interface at upper management and peers levels of the organization both internally and externally in clear and methodical mannerQualification/Requirements- Trade qualified Electrician or Electrical engineering bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited university- Solid understanding of Power Electronics, Electric Circuit, Electric Power Systems, Medium Voltage, Harmonics, with good hands-on skill.- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers.
