Corporate IT together with the CTO Area - is driving together the Implementation of ServiceNow for IT Service & Asset Management. This is a multi-year program professionalizing and standardizing the handling of CMDB, Asset Management, ITSM and other processes/activities. The IT SAM Program is pursuing a.o. following goals:
- Deliver a group wide IT Service & Asset Management Platform in the cloud in line with the enterprise architecture
- Replace legacy technology (CRM7) to Cloud native technology track
- Drive cultural change form proprietary DBG specific implementation into a SaaS solution
Your Mission:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Owner to lead the topic of CMDB, Configuration and Asset Management in our IT Service & Asset Management (IT SAM) capabilities. You will be at the heart of our digital transformation, driving the implementation and evolution of our new central platform. This is a key role in shifting our culture from a legacy, process-heavy environment to a modern, cloud-native, and service-oriented model.

Tasks / Responsibilities:
- Own the Product Vision & Strategy: You will define and champion a clear product vision for IT Service and Asset Management. You'll translate the strategic goals of our multi-year transformation program into a prioritized, value-driven product backlog. This includes owning, developing, maintaining, prioritizing and securing completeness of the Product Backlog with, on top of business requirements, external and internal audit items, BAU activities and Enablers.
- Lead with a Practical Mindset: While familiarity with ITIL is essential, your focus will be on practical application. You will pragmatically balance business needs with governance requirements, ensuring we build effective services, not just \"paper tiger\" processes.
- Drive Agile Execution: As the \"Voice of the Customer,\" you will guide our Agile development team. This includes breaking down features into clear user stories, defining objectives, goals and acceptance criteria, and ensuring the team is always working on what matters most. You will be the final authority on accepting work, usingBehaviour-Driven Development (BDD)practices and practices like Definition of Ready (DoR) and theDefinition of Done (DoD), ensuring the final product meets our high standards.
- Champion Service Adoption & Value: You will own the strategy for product adoption, ensuring users understand and benefit from the new platform. A key part of your role will be evaluating new features from our SaaS vendor to ensure we are maximizing the value of our investment.
- Collaborate and Communicate: You will be the central point of contact between senior stakeholders, business users, and the development team. Your ability to communicate clearly and manage relationships at all levels will be critical to aligning everyone on the product roadmap and ensuring smooth execution.
- Manage the Basics: This includes managing JIRA / Confluence / SharePoint together with the Product Team. Organizing, preparing and following up different types of program meetings. Contributing to program communication content and channels (mail, newsletter, intranet)
Qualifications / Required skills:
- Proven Product Ownership Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner (or similar role) in a large-scale, enterprise Agile environment.
- Deep Domain Expertise: Strong, hands-on experience with IT Configuration, IT Asset Management (ITAM) and IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and a deep understanding of the underlying data (CMDB).
- Practical SaaS Implementation Skills: Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing enterprise SaaS solutions (ServiceNow experience is a significant advantage). You understand how to leverage out-of-the-box capabilities over excessive customization.
- A Product & Service Mentality: You are a strategic thinker who focuses on customer needs and delivering tangible business value. You have a track record of simplifying complex problems and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Leadership & Influence: Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills. You are confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels and can operate effectively in a multi-national environment.
- Industry Context: Experience working in the financial services industry or another highly regulated environment is highly desirable.
- Language: Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English is required. Basic German is a plus.
